2005-Personal details Born September 21, 1959 Political party Republican Profession nurse, grower Religion Baptist Denise Grimsley is a Lake Placid, Florida Registered Nurse, citrus grower and Republican politician who serves as the Representative for District 77 of the House of Representatives of the U.S. state of Florida. She first won election to the Florida House in 2004, and was re-elected to three successive terms. For the session beginning in 2009, she chaired the Government Accountability Act Council and the Joint Legislative Sunset Committee.
Grimsley was born in Lakeland, Florida on September 21, 1959. She earned her Associate's degree in Nursing from Polk Community College. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Warner Southern College and her MBA from the University of Miami.
