He was first elected to the Florida House in 2006, and was reelected in 2008.
Representative Kiar was born in Pembroke Pines, Florida on June 17, 1977. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Palm Beach Atlantic University in 1999 and his Juris Doctorate at Nova Southeastern University in 2002. After graduation, he worked as an attorney for a law firm for a year and then for Monroe D. Kiar and Associates from 2003 to 2004. He made an unsuccessful bid for the District 97 seat in 2004 and ran successfully in 2006.
