As of 2001[update] India census[1], Dulhipur had a population of 7744. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Dulhipur has an average literacy rate of 34%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 42% and female literacy is 26%. In Dulhipur, 19% of the population was under 6 years of age.
Dulhipur is famous for its literate people. Notable personalities include the late Dr. S A H Rizvhi in field of mathematics, the late Dr. S M Mujtaba Jafari who studied Arabic and Persian, and the late Dr. S A Jafri who worked for Urdu Literature. Haji Mohd Aslam worked with preparing young people by teaching spoken English.
