Tram route 55 is a public transport service in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It runs from the corner of Bell Street and Melville Road in West Coburg to the Domain Road Interchange - Domain Road and St Kilda Road east of the city.

Like most Melbourne tram routes, route 55 operates entirely in Metcard ticketing Zone 1.

The route runs along Melville Road from the Bell Street intersection, then Dawson Street, Grantham Street, through to Royal Park along a scenic track passing the Royal Park Golf Course and the Melbourne Zoo, coming out at Flemington Road where it intersects Abbotsford Street, then it travels along Peel Street, William Street, Flinders Lane, Market Street, Queens Bridge, Queensbridge Street, Kings Way and finally Park Street before terminating at the Domain Road interchange.

This tram route is notable for its windiness, and the traverse through Royal Park for some distance. The route also includes a ride past the State Netball and Hockey Centre and the Royal Park Zoo with an occasional peek at the elephant's shed. It is operated by Z3 class trams, with some B2 class trams also operating during peak times.

During the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games the route was merged with route 5 to Malvern to alleviate congestion along St Kilda Road. The temporary through routing was useful in helping daily commuters utilise other connection train stations at the city's west end, namely at Flagstaff station. At Domain Interchange, a junction was instated. This set of switches has since been disabled after the demerger. The route 55 has since terminated at the original terminus of Domain Interchange.
