Facilities

Anstey is located on the southern side of Albion Street, just west of Sydney Road. Commuters can catch the bus #503 (operated by Moonee Valley Bus Lines) connecting Essendon railway station to Brunswick East, from stops located close by on Albion Street.

The station consists of two platforms. As with many smaller stations in Melbourne's network the inbound (up) platform contains a Metcard ticket machine able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins, whereas the outbound (down) platform contains a smaller coin-only ticket machine which dispenses only selected ticketing options.

The undercover entrance area on the inbound platform has several features. To the right is a disused ticket window now boarded over. To the left is a roller door which is permanently closed, behind which are entrances for male and female toilets. There is also a newspaper dispenser which is no longer stocked.

A Telstra payphone booth located on Albion Street outside the inbound platform building was removed around 2002. There is a payphone located on the outbound platform.

The inbound platform building is the only inbound building on the Upfield Line between Jewell and Coburg not protected by the Victorian Heritage Register.

The Upfield bike path between the station and Hope Street originally detoured through nearby streets, however a direct route alongside the rail line was completed in August 2002.
