Grenda Corporation is an Australian bus manufacturing, and mass transit company, based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Beyond its public transport operations, Grenda owns the bus body-work business Volgren. It runs a commercial charter coach company, a tour company, and operates route-bus services in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, under contract from the state government, under a variety of brand names. In association with the Hornibrook Group's Hornibrook Bus Lines, it owns a share of Australian Transit Enterprises, which operates transit services under contract in Perth and Adelaide.

Grendas operates public bus routes under contract by the Victorian Government, school charters and arranged tours.

History

Grenda's started out as a small bus service company after George Grenda (founder), sold his milk truck in 1945. Bus Appearances

The current colours used by Grenda's are White, Red and Yellow. These colours are mainly seen on the modern low floor buses and some coaches.

The SmartBus colours used by Grenda's (as well as Eastrans, Invicta & Ventura) are Orange and Silver, and buses that wear this livery are primary used on Routes 900 & 901. Buses on Smartbus Routes 888 and 889 wear the standard Grenda's livery.

Many older buses & coaches used by Grenda's are still in the old Red and Off-White livery, while more recent repaints of older buses are simply plain white.
