Location: 1979 NC 222 E., near Fremont in Wayne County, North Carolina Coordinates: 35°31′58″N 77°54′46″W / 35.5327°N 77.9127°WCoordinates: 35°31′58″N 77°54′46″W / 35.5327°N 77.9127°W Area: 8.4 acres (3.4 ha)[2] Governing body: Private NRHP Reference#: 09000662[1] Added to NRHP: August 27, 2009[1] The Dred and Ellen Yelverton House, in Wayne County, North Carolina is "indisputably" a work designed by George Franklin Barber and is "undoubtably" one of the most intact Barber houses in North Carolina.[2]
The building was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 2009.[2][1] The listing was announced as the featured listing in the National Park Service's weekly list of ___, 2009.[3]
