[1]Added to NRHP: November 12, 1982 District C (of the Amoskeag Millyard) is a historic industrial district located in Manchester, New Hampshire, over a portion of the former Amoskeag Manufacturing Company millyard, and surrounding area. It is roughly bounded by N. Hampshire Lane, Hollis, Canal, and Bridge Streets, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 12, 1982. It contains 9 contributing properties covering an area of approximately 50 acres (20 ha).[2]
District C is located at the central portion of the historic former Amoskeag millyard, once one of the largest textile manufacturing companies in the world. It operated between 1831 and 1936.[3]
