Sângeorgiu de Mureş (Hungarian: Marosszentgyörgy, Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈmɒroʃsɛnɟørɟ]) is a commune in Mureş County, Transylvania, Romania composed of three villages:

• Cotuş / Csejd
• Sângeorgiu de Mureş
• Tofalău / Tófalva

Demographics

The commune has a Székely Hungarian majority. According to the 2002 Census it has a population of 7,892 of which 58.25% or 4,597 are Hungarian.
