Southridge's athletic rival is Miami Killian Senior High School.

Miami Southridge Senior High School is 48.2% Hispanic, 40.3% Black, 8.7 % White; the remaining percentages include Asian, Indian, and multiracial ethnicities. Fifty-four percent (54.9%) of the students are eligible for free and reduced lunch, 19.2% are Students With Disabilities (SWD), and 9.3% are Limited English Proficient (LEP) students.[1]

Was apart of the 1997 National Championship team. ACC All Conference Senior year. NFL Signed as an un-drafted Free Agent with the Atlanta Falcons. Retired due to injuires.
- Troy Davis, Class of 1994 - Running Back in the National Football League (New Orleans Saints, 1997-1999) and Canadian Football League; all-time leading rusher (4,382 yards) at Iowa State University; two-time NCAA rushing leader.
- Darren Davis, Class of 1996 - Running Back in the Canadian Football League; #2 all-time leading rusher (3,763 yards) in Iowa State University football history.
