ToxalibaEriocottidae or Old World spiny-winged moths[1] is a family of insects in the Lepidoptera order whose position relative to other members of the superfamily Tineoidea is currently unknown. There are between eight[2] and seventeen (Natural History Museum Lepidoptera genus database) genera currently placed within it and two subfamilies, Compsocteninae and Eriocottinae.
