Mid Derbyshire is a county constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post voting system.

Boundaries

Following their review of parliamentary representation in Derbyshire, the Boundary Commission for England created a Mid Derbyshire seat. Neighbouring seats have had consequential boundary changes, with Erewash and Amber Valley two of the most affected.

The electoral wards used in the new constituency are:

  • From Amber Valley Borough Council: Belper Central; Belper East; Belper North; Belper South; Duffield.
  • From Derby City Council: Allestree; Oakwood; Spondon.
  • From Erewash Borough Council: Little Eaton and Breadsall; Ockbrook and Borrowash; Stanley; West Hallam and Dale Abbey.
