Austin Independent School District headquarters

Austin Independent School District is a school district that is based in the city of Austin, Texas, United States. It was established in 1881.^[1] Its current superintendent is ^[2]

Austin ISD serves most of the City of Austin, the City of Sunset Valley, the Village of San Leanna, and unincorporated areas in Travis County (including Manchaca).

In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.^[5]
