Martial arts and other combative traditions practiced in Serbia varying amounts of popularity, with Real Aikido being perhaps the most popular and being an elective subject in Serbian elementary schools.

Traditional styles
The Serbian style of folk wrestling is known as Narodno rvanje.
Reconstructed traditional Serbian martial arts are known[by whom?] by the acronym Svebor, for either "srpske veštine borenja" or "sve vrste borenja" (translating to "Serbian martial arts" and "all types of fighting", respectively) A notable proponent is Predrag 'Bata' Milošević of Belgrade University.[citation needed]
List of schools
- Real Aikido - created by Ljubomir Vračarević, based on Aikido, Gendai Jujutsu and Judo.
- Hapkikwan - created by Boris Krivokapić, based on Moo Lim Won Hapkido and Hoshinkido Hapkido, and other martial arts. Creator, Boris Krivokapić, also holds 6. dan in Hoshinkido Hapkido.
- Eclectic Fighting System - Based on Wing Chun, Muay Thai, Boxing, Judo, Jujutsu and other martial arts, currently promoted by the Martial Arts Association of Serbia
- Kyokushin-jutsu - Based on Kyokushin Karate, Kodokan Judo, Chin Na, and Aikido, created by Dragan Filipović
- Dynamic Aiki Jujutsu
- Dynamic Bu Jutsu - Based on Kodokan Judo, Jujutsu and Dynamic Aiki Jujutsu, created by Boris Radić, currently promoted by the Martial Arts Association of Serbia
