His music has been released on record labels Universal Motown Records and Universal Republic Records, along with subsidiaries Young Money Entertainment and Cash Money Records.
Drake's debut album, Thank Me Later, was released in June 2010 and produced four successful singles, including the top-five single on the US Billboard Hot 100, "Find Your Love", which received a platinum award from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Two other singles, "Over" and "Miss Me" (with rapper Lil Wayne), both peaked in the top twenty of the US and Canadian music charts and were certified gold. "Fancy", with rappers T.I. and Swizz Beatz, became the fourth and final single of the album, peaking in the top thirty on the Billboard Hot 100. The album reached number one in the US and Canada, and shipped over one million copies in the United States and was certified platinum by both the RIAA and the Canadian Recording Industry Association (now Music Canada). His second studio album, Take Care, will be released November 15, 2011.
Following the success and positive reviews of the album, Drake received four Grammy Award nominations at the 53rd Grammy Awards in 2011: the Grammy Award for Best New Artist, the Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance for his single "Over", the Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for his single "Fancy" with T.I. and Swizz Beatz, and the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album for Thank Me Later.
