The temple was built in 1939 fo Kingman Masonic Lodge No. 22. Designed in the Moderne style, it was the second of two WPA Projects in Kingman.[2] The temple is next door to the old post office. With the growth in fraternal organizations, the Masons decided to have their own building. They have been using the Elks Lodge for sometime. Today, the temple is used for office space for downtown area of Kingman. The temple is on the National Register of Historic Places
The building is described as architecturally important in a survey of historic buildings of Kingman.[3]
