Dunlap is an unincorporated community in Fresno County, California.[1] It lies at an elevation of 1919 feet (585 m).[1] It has a population of 131. It is located approximately 38 miles (61 km) east of Fresno. St. Nicholas Ranch ([1]), a retreat center run by the Greek Orthodox Church, is a major attraction. The Greek Orthodox Monastery (Convent) of the Theotokos, the Life-Giving Spring ([2]) is also located there. A special attraction of Dunlap is the Sierra Endangered Cat Haven [3][4]. The ZIP Code is 93621, and the community is inside area code 559.

The first post office was established in 1882, was closed for a time in 1885, and moved in 1898.[2] The name honors George Dunlap Moss, school teacher instrumental in bringing a post office to the town.[2]
