Crown Limited (ASXCWN) is one of Australia's largest gaming and entertainment groups. At June 2010, Crown Limited had a market capitalisation of just over A$6 billion and accounted for 27.53% of the S&P/ASX 200 Hotels Restaurants & Leisure Industry Group.[4]

Crown Limited was established in 2007 when Publishing and Broadcasting Limited (PBL) divested its gaming assets to Crown Limited. PBL was renamed to Consolidated Media Holdings, retaining all of the remaining assets.[5]

The group’s core businesses and investments are in the gaming and entertainment sector. Crown wholly owns and operates two of Australia’s leading gaming and entertainment complexes, Crown Entertainment Complex in Melbourne and Burswood Entertainment Complex in Perth.

Holdings

Crown holds a preferred instrument in Cannery Casino Resorts and is seeking regulatory approval in the US to have the preferred instrument converted to an equity interest representing 24.5% of the outstanding equity of Cannery Casino Resorts.[7]
