The Black-banded Woodcreeper (Dendrocolaptes picumnus) is a species of bird in the Dendrocolaptinae subfamily, the woodcreepers. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela. In South America it is found in the Guyanas, most of the Amazon Basin, and parts of the western Pantanal. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montanes.
