Geography
As of 30 November 2010, it had a population of 5,553 and an area of 67.0 km².[1]
The municipality of Naturns contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Staben (Stava) and Tabland (Tablà).
Naturns borders the following municipalities: Kastelbell-Tschars, Algund, Lana, Partschins, Plaus, St. Pankraz, Schnals, and Ulten.
History
Coat-of-arms
The shield azure and an equilateral triangle of or. It is taken from that of the old dynasty of the Lords of Nals who lived in the village until 1380. The coat of arms was granted in 1966. [2]

Linguistic distribution
According to the 2001 census, 97.07% of the population speak German, 2.89% Italian and 0.04% Ladin as first language.[3]
