PlatformerMode(s) Single-player Media/distribution 2-megabit cartridge Donald Land (ドナルドランド )[3] is a Famicom video game developed and published by Data East. It was released only in Japan on January 29, 1988. It is based on McDonald's characters. The reason that it's called "Donald Land" instead of Ronald Land is that Ronald McDonald is known as "Donald McDonald" in Japan.[4] Unlike M.C. Kids, this game is simply a generic platformer without any puzzle elements to it whatsoever.

Gameplay
The action game stars "Donald McDonald", the mascot of the McDonald's fast food chain.[5] The objective is to bring peace to his magical land by controlling the famous fast food clown.[5] Most of Donald's companions have been kidnapped, and the animals have turned feral.[5] His brainwashed companions will occasionally attack.[5] Donald can defend himself using apple bombs, thrown in a parabola. Being hit by the enemy causes damage, which decreases Donald's "Life" meter. During various parts of a stage, a hamburger panel may appear. If it is collected, Donald will consume the burger after the stage is completed and earn a "Life" bonus. It is also possible to play a mini-game challenge, to earn commodities that the player orders from McDonald's.[5]
