Unlike other regional transit systems in the province, Niagara Region Transit operates with, rather than replaces, the existing municipal transit systems operating in the region by connecting them together.
Service commenced the morning of September 12th 2011, and costs $5 per intercity trip for the first six months, including transfer between two local municipal transit services.[1][2]
