- Lithuanian army equipment
-
Since November 19, 1992, the recreation of the army of the Lithuanian Armed Forces has progressed effectively. Today the army operates with modern weapons and weapon systems. Even though the army has some older western vehicles and former Soviet vehicles, the modernization of the entire army is the main priority of the Department of National Defence. Lithuania has purchased more ships, planes and armoured transport vehicles and is continuing to modernize her armed forces.
