Matthias Daniel Manasi (born 26 December 1969) is a German conductor and pianist. Manasi is currently Music Director of the International PuntaClassic Festival in Montevideo, Uruguay and Music Director and Artistic Director of Orchestra Camerata Italiana, based in Naples, Italy.

Musical Studies
Manasi began to study piano with Andrzej Ratusinski and conducting with Thomas Ungar at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. There he studied also harmony and composition. From 1993 to 1995 he studied piano with Carmen Piazzini at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe. In 1994, he studied conducting with Karl Österreicher in Vienna. He made his official debut as a conductor at the age of 20 at the Wilhelma-Theater Stuttgart conducting Igor Stravinsky's L'Histoire du Soldat.
Conductor
In 2010, Manasi was named Music Director of the International Punta Classic Festival in Montevideo, Uruguay.
In April 2010, Manasi was appointed Music Director of the Orchestra Camerata Italiana in Naples, Italy. The first concert performance was a television production of Pergolesi's Stabat Mater for the celebration of Pergolesi's 300th anniversary in the basilica of Benevento on April 2, 2010.

Manasi's opera activity includes the premiere performance of Puccini's La Bohème (directed by Eduardo Casullo) at Punta del Este's Solanas Convention Center in January 2011 and productions at several European opera houses and festivals with Puccini's Turandot, Richard Strauss' Die Frau ohne Schatten, Berg's Wozzeck, Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel, Mozart's Idomeneo, Bizet's Les pêcheurs de perles, Nicolai's Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor, J. Strauss' Eine Nacht in Venedig, Wagner's Das Rheingold, Franchetti's Cristoforo Colombo, Moniuszko's Halka, Hiller's Rattenfänger and Rossini's La Cenerentola (Kiel Opera House), Verdi's La traviata and Smetana's The Bartered Bride (Eutin Festival), Wagner's Götterdämmerung, Debussy's Pelléas et Mélisande, Lortzing's Der Wildschütz, Künneke's Glückliche Reise (Oldenburgisches Staatstheater), Verdi's Il trovatore, Rigoletto and La traviata (Opera Constanta), Berg's Lulu (Opera Klagenfurt), Vivaldi's Juditha triumphans (Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg), Verdi's Don Carlos (Staatstheater Kassel), Rossini's L'occasione fa il ladro (Festival Rossini in Wildbad), Mozart's Don Giovanni, Puccini's La bohème, Verdi's Un ballo in maschera and Mozart's Zauberflöte (Silesian State Theatre).

Pianist
Matthias Manasi has performed recitals throughout the USA, Europe and South America, performing not only classical and romantic repertoire but also contemporary works by such composers as Bernstein, Dutilleux, Schnittke, Takemitsu, Sawai, among others. In 2008 these included a piano recital in January 2008 at the . After making his USA debut in 2006 with a Gershwin recital in New York, he played in 2007 and 2008 piano recitals in New York, Washington, D.C., Silver Spring and Baltimore. He played a concert at the Munich Residence in November 2006. In 2004 he debuted as pianist in South America with concerts in Ecuador. In 2009, he played on Richard Wagner's Steinway piano at Villa Wahnfried in Bayreuth during a Spanish Song Recital.
