Mandai officially known as Mahathma Phule Mandai is this biggest vegetable market in Pune City. This is located in heart of Pune in Shukrawar Peth area. This market's main entrance located on the road connecting Sanipar to Chhatrapati Shivaji Road. This market has eight entrances. This is lcated next to Tulsi Baugh which is anther big market in Pune. Along with vegetable one can also get fruits and articles for Pooja (Hindu worship). This Market was built by British Government during Indian pre-independence era. This place has about 526 stall of fruits and vegetables. This market is always crowded because all fruits and vegetable are available at very low cost than other places in the city. This place more crowded on weekends and on holiday days. This market also has its separate Ganesh Mandal during Ganesh Festival and is one of the famous in Pune and Maharashtra. The proposed skywalk will run on four sides of this market.

Akhil Mandai Ganapati

This is the name of Mandai's Ganesh Mandal. This is one of the most immensely important Ganesh Mandal in Pune. Almost all citizens from Pune and nearby towns and villages along with some from Mumbai visit this Mandal during Ganesh Festival. This has a beautiful idol of Lord Ganesha sitting on a swing with Goddess Sharada. The decoration done gives you a royal feeling.
