Hadapsar

Hadapsar is an eastern suburb in Pune City, Maharashtra, India. It is famous as a marketplace for vegetables and other agricultural goods where farmers directly sell these items. Hadapsar is also well known for two SEZs: Magarpatta city and Fursungi IT Park have given Hadapsar a new direction in IT and ITES. Sybase, IBM, TCS, Mphasis- Mphasis, an EDS Company, Amdocs, Avaya, SAS, John Deere, Patni, Option One, Accenture, Exl, Zs, Aviva, Honeywell, Mellon, Zensar and Synechron are all examples of IT companies based in Hadapsar. Up until 1980 Hadapsar was a small village surrounded by farms. Many big real estate projects such as "Amanora" have come up in the vicinity of Hadapsar.

Industry

Hadapsar contains a number of factories and residences. It stretches on Pune-Solapur Road for some distance. There are companies like Honeywell Automation, Bharat Forge, Kirloskar Pneumatics, Accurate and other small scale companies. The Hadapsar Flying Club is another popular destination. Many famous people have come from Hadapsar.Sitaram or Dada Gujar - He is a famous social worker who has contributed through various oraganizations such as Maharashtra Arogya Mandal, Sadhana Vidyalaya and Sadhana Co-operative Bank.Viththal Tupe - Famous politician and former MP. He is the key member behind the idea of Magarpatta City.Dattatray Sasane - Come what may, this man is devoted to social work. He is one of the corporators in the vicinity.Dattatray (Nana) Banakar - Another former member of PMC anda great social activist.Other famous people who lived in Hadapsar are - Rakesh Bapat(Actor), Pradeep Bhide (Famous TV personality) The head quarters of the Sanmitra Sahakari Bank.

Gliding Centre Pune

The Gliding Centre at Hadapsar, Pune (GCP) http://www.glidingcentre.in is an undertaking of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Civil Aviation Department, Government of India. Currently, 3 'Super Blanik L23' aircraft, which are two-seater gliders (sailplanes) manufactured by LET (a leading manufacturer of glider planes located in the Czech Republic), are flown at the gliding centre. Pune has been at the forefront of gliding in India since pre-independence times (around 1927). Gliding in Pune was first patronised by the head of the former Aundh state. In order to promote gliding, the Government of India has subsidised flying operations at GCP and other locations in the country.

Several thousand people from across various locations in India and abroad have experienced the pleasure of gliding at GCP. Pilots with valid Glider Pilot Licenses can fly here. The center also offers training to aspiring pilots. GCP has been the training ground for a majority of glider pilots and instructors for glider flying in India. GCP is open to general public on Sundays (excepting national holidays) and offers a joy ride to those who wish to experience glider flying. Typically, flying season at GCP starts post monsoon by October and continues until the onset of the next monsoon by May or early June.

Tourist locations in the vicinity are Theur, Kanifnath Temple and Mastani Talav (lake). Hadapsar is located nearly 8.5 km from the heart of Pune. Every year Sant Dyneshwar and Sant Tukaram palkhi go from Alandi and Dehu to Pandharpur through Hadapsar where the routes get separated. There are a lot of famous schools and colleges like Sadhana Vidyalaya and Jr.College, AM College, College of Engineering Hadapsar, Ayurvadic college, J SPM College of Engineering, Aeronotical College of Engineering, and Sane Guruji Vidyalaya to name a few. There are many ancient temples in Hadapsar.

Hadapsar gaon (the original village), Gadital, Malvadi, Satav wadi, Gondhale nagar, Satyapuram, Satav plot, Sadhana society, Aakashwani, Mahadev Nagar, Sadesatra nali, Sasanenagar,undri, sayad nagar, Magarpatta, tukai darshan, kale padal, Laxmi cololy are main areas. Most of the people in Hadapsar come from outside areas all over Maharashtra.

The local people are Tupe, Kale, Borate, Ghule, Sasane, Magar,Phulare and Alhat. People of Hadapsar are very helpful, needful, peaceful and much more political than that of the surrounding region. The real estate sector is also growing in Hadapsar. Real estate prices are quite reasonable when compared to other parts of the city. Manjari is the greenest and zero pollution residential zone in Hadapsar. There are many upcoming residential and commercial projects in Hadapsar.
