Havyaka Kannada
Havyaka Kannada has North Havyaka and South Havyaka sub-dialects. Northern Havyaka Kannada is mainly spoken by the people of Uttara Kannada district and Southern Havyaka Kannada dialect is spoken by the people of Dakshina Kannada district and Udupi district.
Badagu
Badagu is the dialect of Kannada spoken by the Badaga community in the Nilgiri region in Tamil Nadu. It has all the characteristics to become an independent language.
Kota-Kundapura Kannada
Kota-Kundapura is the dialect of Kannada which is spoken by the people living in the area which is formed by, in the west, Arabian Sea to Shankarnarayana, in the east, Siddapura, Brahmavara in the south and Shiroor in the north.[4]
Holiya
Holiya, also called Holar, Hole, Holu, Golari-Kannada spoken in Maharashtra and Madya Pradesh.[5]

- Koli Language
- Halabi Language, the Halaba people of Central Provinces and Berar region speaks this dialect of Kannada.
- Siddi Language
- Hebbar Tamil with heavy influence of Kannada language
- Konkani has Kannada Influence, Kannada words in Konkani
- Kupwar Kannada
- Betta Kurumba language
- Irula (people of darkness) in Chingleput at the Nilgiri hills in Tamil Nadu, their language Irula, is related to Kannada and Tamil.[6]
- Wayanad Uralikuruma Kannada dialect – Uralikuruma of Wayanad an artisan tribal group speek a dialect which is a combination of Kannada and Malayalam.[7]
- Dakhni dialect includes Kannada also.
- Saurashtra language has Kannada words historically.
- Northern Malayalam dialect (North Kerala in Malabar) has more kannada words.
- Marathi language borrowed many Kannada words
