History
The Company was founded by Bill Bottriell and Simon Arber in 1986[2] as a specialist recruitment business under the name Computer Futures.[3] In 1999 Barclays provided development finance for the business.[4] It was first listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2005.[4]
Operations
The Company provides both permanent and contract specialist staffing services in the UK and Europe, in the Information Technology, Banking & Finance, Pharma & Biotech, Energy & Natural Resources and Healthcare sectors with a growing presence.
It has a total of forty nine offices: twenty two in the UK and twenty seven elsewhere.[5] SThree operates in Asia, Australia, Europe, Middle East, UK and USA. It operates under a number of different brand names with the three largest being Computer Futures, Progressive and Huxley.[3]
