Clare County Council (Irish: Comhairle Contae an Chláir) is the local authority which is responsible for County Clare in Ireland. The Council is responsible for Housing and Community, Roads and Transportation, Urban planning and Development, Amenity and Culture, and Environment. The head of the council has the title of Cathaoirleach or "Chairperson". The county seat is at Clare County Offices, Ennis.

The county council is governed by the Local Government Act 2001. The county is divided into six local electoral areas and has 32 councillors who are elected every five years by single transferable vote. The county administration is headed by a county manager, currently Tom Coughlan.

For the purpose of elections Clare is divided into six local electoral areas: Ennis East (5), Ennis West (4), Ennistymon (5), Killaloe (7), Kilrush (6) and Shannon (7).[1]
