Charles Henry Leicester Stanhope, 12th Earl of Harrington (born 20 July 1945), styled as Viscount Petersham from birth till 2009, is the son of William Stanhope, 11th Earl of Harrington and Eileen Grey.
He married, firstly, Virginia Freeman-Jackson, on 14 September 1966 and they were divorced in 1983. They had two children:
He married, secondly, Anita Fugelsang, formerly Countess of Suffolk & Berkshire in 1984.
He was ranked 325th in the Sunday Times Rich List 2008 with an estimated wealth of £250m. He is the owner of some prime land in London. Though the net assets of his two main companies, Elvaston Investments and Stanhope Gardens, came in at about £5m in 2005, his total land holdings have been valued recently at about £250m.
