- John Lowry-Corry, 8th Earl Belmore
John Armar Lowry-Corry, 8th Earl Belmore (born 4 September 1951) is an Irish nobleman and art collector and the eldest child and only son of Galbraith Lowry-Corry, 7th Earl Belmore. [cite web|url=http://www.thepeerage.com/p13778.htm|title=Entry at thepeerage.com]
He was educated at Lancing College, Sussex then at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester in Gloucestershire and succeeded his father as Earl Belmore on 20 July 1960. In 1984 he married Lady Mary Jane Meade, daughter of John Charles Edmund Carson Meade, 6th Earl of Clanwilliam, and has issue:
*John Armar Galbraith Lowry-Corry, Viscount Corry (b. 2 November 1985)
* The Hon. Montagu Gilford George Lowry-Corry (b. 30 March 1989)
*Lady Martha Catherine Lowry-Corry (b. 27 May 1992)
He lives with his family at The Garden House, Castle Coole, Enniskillen in County Fermanagh, and retains the west wing of the house for his use. Lord Belmore loans the contents of Castle Coole to the National Trust for visitors to enjoy. A considerable connoisseur, John Belmore has added some interesting pictures to the collection which he has also lent for show in the house, including "Castor and Pollux" by Cipriani.
