Odessa metropolitan area

The Odessa Metropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by the United States Census Bureau, is an area consisting of one county – Ector – in West Texas, anchored by the city of Odessa. As of the 2000 census, the MSA had a population of 121,123 (though a July 1, 2009 estimate placed the population at 134,625).[1]

The Odessa Metropolitan Statistical Area is also a component of the Midland–Odessa combined statistical area, which covers two counties (Ector and Midland) and had an estimated population of 266,941 as of July 1, 2009.[2]
