Masaru Hashimoto (橋本 昌 Hashimoto Masaru , born November 19, 1945) is the governor of Ibaraki Prefecture in Japan, first elected in 1993. A native of Ibaraki Prefecture and graduate of the University of Tokyo, he joined the Ministry of Home Affairs in 1969.
