Neighborhoods
Morgan Park
Morgan Park is neighborhood located south of Beverly (properly Beverly Hills), with an invisible borderline drawn at 108th street, though both neighborhoods share the same ZIP code. Additionally, Morgan Park is home to significant institutions and venues, including the Beverly Arts Center, the historic 111th Street train station on the Rock Island District, Morgan Park Academy, and a substantial number of large upscale homes on large wooded lots. Morgan Park is home to Morgan Park High School and also one of the Chicago Public School's oldest school buildings (Esmond Elementary School) being built in the 1890s, the early 1900s and the 1970s.
Government and infrastructure
The United States Postal Service operates the Morgan Park Post Office.[1]
Education
Chicago Public Schools operates public schools. Morgan Park High School is the neighborhood high school.
Irish Heritage
Morgan Park is known as part of the South Side Irish community, and is mostly Irish. In addition to mostly working class families, there is a large amount of Chicago Police Men living in Morgan Park
