Thomas, 1913The Nigerian Free-tailed Bat (Chaerephon nigeriae) is a species of bat in the family Molossidae. It is found in Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and possibly Ghana. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, dry savanna, and moist savanna. It is threatened by habitat loss.
