(Laurenti, 1768)The South American Common Toad or Sapo Crestado (Bufo margaritifer) is a species of toad in the Bufonidae family. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Panama, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montanes, dry savanna, moist savanna, subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland, rivers, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marches, and heavily degraded former forest.
