"Amietophrynus maculatus" is a species of toad in the Bufonidae family.It is found in Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, possibly Burundi, possibly Chad, possibly Equatorial Guinea, possibly Mali, possibly Rwanda, possibly Sudan, and possibly Togo.Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montanes, dry savanna, moist savanna, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland, rivers, intermittent freshwater marshes, ponds, and canals and ditches.It is threatened by habitat loss.
