ElectionsThe Communist Party of Bulgaria (Bulgarian: Комунистическа партия на България, Komunisticeska Partija na Balgarija, KPB) is a communist political party in Bulgaria. It is led by Alexander Paunov.
The party was founded in 1996 as the Communist Party.[1] Since 2001 it is part of the Coalition for Bulgaria, an alliance led by the Bulgarian Socialist Party. The party publishes the newspaper Rabotnicheski Vestnik.[1]
At the last Bulgarian parliamentary election in 2009, the Coalition for Bulgaria received 17.7% of the popular vote and 40 out of 240 seats.
