Provincial Trunk Highway 44 (PTH 44) is a provincial highway in the Canadian province of Manitoba.
It begins at Highway 9 (Main St.) in the town of Lockport, just north of Winnipeg. From Lockport the highway travels east, passing through Beausejour before heading south-east after Highway 11 branches north towards Lac Du Bonnet and Pine Falls. It is the main highway through Whiteshell Provincial Park and ends at the Trans-Canada Highway just west of the Ontario border. It becomes very narrow as it passes through the Wilderness of the Park, and is very hilly and winding. The speed limit along Highway 44 is 100 km/h (60 mph).
Highway 44 was originally part of Provincial Trunk Highway 1. When the new southerly alignment of Highway 1 was completed as part of the Trans-Canada Highway project in 1962, this section of Highway 1 became part of transprovincial Highway 4 (along with current Highways 9, 16, and 26). Around 1970, the highway was renumbered again to its current designation.
