University of the PacificOccupation Attorney Noreen Evans (born April 22, 1955) is an American politician in the California State Senate.[1] She is a Democrat representing the 2nd district, encompassing Humboldt, Mendocino, Lake, and Napa counties, as well as parts of Sonoma and Solano counties.

Elected history
Before serving in the assembly, she was on the Santa Rosa city council from 1996 until 2004. In 2000, she made an unsuccessful bid for the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. She is known for alliances with public employees and private labor unions.

Evans is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento and University of the Pacific's McGeorge School of Law.[citation needed]
