North Memphis, Memphis

North Memphis is one of the five defined districts of Memphis, Tennessee. It includes smaller neighborhoods such as Klondyke, Binghampton, Douglass, Hyde Park, Hollywood, Nutbush, Smokey City and Frayser.

Many rappers are from this area of Memphis, such as Project Pat, Juicy J, and Yo Gotti. The area has been troubled with a high crime rate and remains one of Memphis' poorer districts.[citation needed]
