Cranbourne South is a rural locality in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 45 km south-east from Melbourne's central business district adjacent to the Melbourne urban area. Its Local Government Area is the City of Casey. At the 2006 Census, Cranbourne South had a population of 1613.

In the past few years the urban growth boundary was moved along Pearcedale and Browns Road, placing a large area of the suburb inside the future main growth area. Two large scale housing developments, Botanic Ridge and Settlers Run Estate, have since received approval in the area. Botanic Ridge is now part of its own suburb with the same name.

The suburb has a small primary school, a petrol station and a general store.

Golfers play at the course of Settlers Run Golf and Country Club at Settlers Run Estate.[2]
