The library situated in Morrab House in Morrab Gardens, and was founded in 1818. Morrab is financed through membership subscriptions and is notable for its large celtic studies collection and local archives. It is not to be confused with Penzance public library which is in Morrab Road in the town.
The Morrab Library is a member of the Association of Independent Libraries, founded in 1989.
Morrab House is the former home of Charles Campbell Ross MP.
