List of C.O.P.S. episodes

This is the list of all of the 65 episodes of C.O.P.S. Central Organization of Police Specialists. Released by DiC Entertainment, the show first aired on September 19, 1988 (though a 60-minute preview broadcast, possibly of one of the two-part stories, aired as early as September 9 in some markets) and new episodes ran through February 20, 1989. It was then rerun on Saturday mornings on CBS in 1993 and was renamed CyberCOPS in order to avoid confusion with the reality prime time show COPS which was then gaining popularity.

Below is the list of episodes that have aired on C.O.P.S..

The Bugman seeks aid from Mainframe and Bowser and Blitz, who not only help him get his bugs back, they turn around and arrest the Bugman as well.

The only way for the C.O.P.S. team to stop Krusher's plan is to break into the prison the same way inmates break out.
07 "The Case of the Pardner in Crime" Kevin Altieri Ardwight Chamberlain, Reed Shelly September 20, 1988 160007

Johnny Yuma, Sundown's ex-"pardner" and master train robber, escapes from prison for a revenge showdown with Sundown for putting him in prison in the first place. When he hears about what happened, Sundown goes off to face Yuma to convince him to turn himself back to the side of the Law.

Trivia: Scenes from this episode are used in The Case of C.O.P.S. File #1 when they are researching Sundown.

Goof Trivia: When Frontpage the robo-newsie is shown calling out the headline for Empire Times, look closely and you'll find the newspaper dated to 1988 (instead of 2020) and the headline incorrectly written "Yuma Breaks Outs" rather than "Yuma Breaks Out".

So the mad scientist goes out and creates a dog whistle-like device which he uses to control Blitz, forcing him to ruin the efforts of the C.O.P.S. team to perform their duties. Meanwhile Berserko forces Dr. Adams, the one who saved Blitz's life years ago, to lie to Bulletproof and Bowser, telling them that Blitz must be dismantled because of a glitch found inside his body--not if Mainframe and Bowser, who knows for a fact that there's nothing wrong with Blitz who cannot be controlled in a way Dr. BadVibes can control his robots, can help it.

Trivia: Blitz's origin is explained here.

The C.O.P.S. team must storm the orphanage to rescue the hostages and discipline those three naughty "babies".

There, he gets captured and held captive by BadVibes, who winds up arguing with Buzzbomb over the share of the stolen loot, hurting his feelings in the process. GOOF TRIVIA: Note the error in the scene where Bowser, Blitz, and Mainframe is placing BadVibes, who was covered with sticky bubble gum, under arrest. The background to Big Boss' penthouse is erroneously place behind BadVibes as he was surrendering to the 3 C.O.P.S. while The Mall background is supposed to be right behind him since he's in the mall trying to steal Keen's super computer brain. A few other errors worth noting is the scene where BadVibes was taking off the special lenses he has worn while the bottom lenses are still shown somewhat along the rim of his hat. Later on, as the brain was making a getaway, BadVibes shouted, "Don't let the brain get away!" while ignoring the "other" brain behind him perched on its base as if Buzzbomb had never touched it in the first place.

He even tries to join up with Big Boss and his crooks to help promote the drug product. But Big Boss rejects his offer. For once, there is a spark of morality inside this otherwise corrupt fat man. He even orders his crooks to reject Addictem's product completely. Easier said than done. For unfortunately, while out on a heist, Berserko accidentally falls into a crate full of Addictem's Crystal Twyst, which cause him to become unconscious and be taken to the hospital. As a result, Big Boss and his Crooks... of all things... join forces with C.O.P.S. in a successful effort to take down Addictem and end his drug selling business for good.

However, a major screw-up by Berserko causes the suit to completely pull all the dirt away from the room and bringing it directly towards Big Boss, covering him up completely. Now Squeeky will have to find a way to fix up the problem... or else he'll be in much more of a mess than ever before.

Where's Big Boss? That's what his henchmen would like to know. After discussing plans to snag an island getaway, Big Boss is seized by an ear while going into the subway and gets kidnapped. When the crooks realize what's happening, they go out and kidnap Barricade and hold him captive assuming he and the C.O.P.S. were the ones who captured Big Boss and brought him into custody. On the other hand, the crooks are unaware that it was really Big Momma, Big Boss' mother, who has made a surprise move to Empire City, where she "kidnaps" her son and brought him back home so she can deliver him into custody when the C.O.P.S. arrive to arrest him.

Trivia: Note the "Air Raid" copter resembling the toy version of the copter with red and blue cockpit doors on each side.

With this special suit, he is able to create successful heists and escape from any trap the C.O.P.S. team lays out for him just by burning through walls and floors and incinerating anything in his path. They are able to lead Krusher onto the Mountback Blimp, where they, with the help of Nancy and Cathleen, are able to trap Krusher by tricking him into melting through the floor to the outside of the blimp, causing him to get stuck through the blimp's bottom, screaming for help since his head is facing down below the city many, many feet up in the air and he's trying to hang on for dear life. Krusher gives up at that point and is placed back behind bars where he belongs.
65 "The Case of the Invisible Crime" Kevin Altieri Bob Forward February 6, 1989 160065
Big Boss' crooks make themselves invisible to make things difficult for the C.O.P.S. team to catch them and have an easy time committing robberies in the process. This episode features Mace being highly annoyed by Airwave and his constant babbling. Airwave is the newest member of C.O.P.S. who serves the team as a communications expert and could make an excellent sportscaster if he hadn't chosen to be part of C.O.P.S.
