Occupy San Diego is an ongoing protest currently located at the Civic Center in downtown San Diego, California. According to authorities, it has a, "a growing problem with violence and mounting trash". [1] It is based on the Occupy Wall Street movement that began in New York City on September 17 and is one of several "Occupy" protest sites in the Southern California, including Occupy Los Angeles. It is known for holding a moment of solidarity for Oscar Ramiro Ortega, who is known for attempting to assassinate President Barack Hussein Obama. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4] [5]}
