The North Pembrokeshire and Fishguard Railway was a British railway company operating in Wales in the late 19th century[1].
History
The company started off as the Narberth Road and Maenclochog Railway which was opened between Narberth Road (Clynderwen) and Rosebush, north of Maenclochog, on 19th September 1876. In 1881, the Narberth Road and Maenclochog Railway was purchased by the Rosebush and Fishguard Railway, which had at that time no line of its own.
The whole undertaking was closed on 31st December 1882 and the name changed to North Pembrokeshire and Fishguard Railway in 1884, but it was not re-opened until 11th April 1895 after reconditioning and the addition of an extension from Rosebush to Letterston. The Great Western Railway assumed control in February 1898.
The line was closed to passengers on 25th October 1937 and to freight between Clynderwen and Letterson in May 1949.
