Noble Park is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Noble Park, on the Pakenham and Cranbourne railway lines. Noble Park is classed a Premium Station and is in Metcard Zone 2.

Facilities

Noble Park is located between Douglas Street and Mons Parade, with station access from both.

The station consists of two side platforms; Platform 1 has a large brick building housing an enclosed waiting area, ticket facilities and toilets, while platform 2 has a smaller brick building. A large Metcard vending machine is located inside the waiting area, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins. A small coin-only Metcard vending machine is located at the entrance to platform 2, as well as inside the waiting area. An underpass is situated at the Flinders Street end of the station.

Minor upgrade works currently taking place in its final stages at the station includes improved shelter, carpark upgrades, and a security upgrade including brighter lighting and better CCTV coverage. These works are being done as part of the EastLink project.

History

Noble Park station opened on 3 February 1913. The present station was opened in the late 1960s after the original station was destroyed by an arsonist. A row of shops now occupies the site of the first station, of which no trace remains today.[1]
