Merinda Park is located at the northern end of the Thompsons Road level crossing, which provides station access.
The station consists of one platform, in an island format (space provided for a second track), with a small steel shelter at the Cranbourne end of the station. A large Metcard ticket vending machine is located at the entrance to the platforms, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins, as well as a myki ticket vending machine.
History
Merinda Park station opened on 24 March 1995 as part of the electrification of the Cranbourne line, a $27 million Federal Government funded project.[1]
