Platforms and services
The station is served by two trains per hour each way, with additional trains during weekday peak hours.
Platform Line Stopping Pattern Notes Northern Line all stations and limited stops services to Central and North Sydney via Strathfield and the City, then on to Hornsby via Macquarie Park Northern Line all stations and limited stops services to Epping via Eastwood; peak hour services to Hornsby via Eastwood Change at Epping for all stations to Hornsby. Accessibility
The station has street access to both platforms, connected by a road overbridge and a pedestrian footbridge. In theory this gives it Easy Access for wheelchairs. In practise there is no pedestrian footpath on either side of the road bridge, with the road going right up to the bridge railings. There is a very narrow pedestrian bridge next to the road bridge, which is probably too narrow for a wheelchair. The surface on the pedestrian bridge is steel plate, which has bent over the years to effectively form speed humps for any type of wheeled transport. In summary, Meadowbank railway station has wheelchair access to from outside the station to each of the platforms, but it is difficult for a wheelchair to get from one platform to the other.
This station has had Easy Access since 15 April 2007. An air ventilated indoors footbridge has been built with lifts and a new set of stairs at both sides of it as part of the project. The platforms were also freshened up with new signage, seating and roofing.
