History

In 1958 founded E.R. Olsen his works under the name Danterm, which was changed to Dantherm with hin therm of international reasons. The increase in industrial production was the main force in the economic development in the 1950s, which in a few years abolished the high unemployment in Skive region. It meant that many industrial factories were built, there all needed to be heated and therefore should use the fan heaters that Eilert had received the idea to develop during a business trip to Portugal. In 1960s the company was changed into a Publicly traded Aktieselskab and sales organizations were created in Norway, Germany, France and England.

In 1973, were the company divided into Dantherm AS as a production company and Dantherm Trading A S, which should handle the negotiation of the company products on the Danish market. Eilert was always looking for new opportunities, which resulted in that he, in the late 1970s developed a dehumidifier in cooperation with high- and low power engineer Svend Thøgersen. The dehumidifier was patented and put into production in 1977-88. It was named CD (Condense Dryer) and dehumidifiers are now one of Dantherm's main areas.

In the 1980s - after the oil crisis in the 1970s - there where done much in Denmark to be energy efficient. This resulted in they developed a cross flow heat exchanger there could regain the warm air in the building to heat the fresh cool air while ventilating, instead of shutting the heat out of the window. Svend Thøgersen founded in 1983 Stelectric there was supplying the electronics control systems for them. In the mid 1980s Dantherm Norway develop mobile refrigeration and heating equipment for sale in the armed forces and NATO. In the 1990s, did they see a market in electronics cooling and the therefore they went into the market, with telecommunications network as there main aera. In 1996 established production in Spartanburg, USA and the later in 2001 production in Suzhou, China. Through the 1990s and the 2000s keptDanthermthemself to their current areas and continued to develop and improve them, which resulted in the fact that they now have there core competencies in the following segments Electronics Cooling, Defense , Dehumidification, ventilation and Residential Ventilation.
